Hey fam!

God moved this summer through Falls Creek Youth Camp. We as Oklahoma Baptists have the privilege of seeing Him move each summer. As summer concluded, I started thinking about opportunities, next steps, and how we can see the development of believers through Gospel impact and also accomplish our big goals as Oklahoma Baptists in the coming years.

We saw over 2600 students profess Christ as Lord this summer in our youth camp worship services. As with each summer, that is only a part of the life changing work of the Spirit across our state through youth ministry or any other ministry area in the local church during and beyond the summer months.

Many students making summer decisions have already followed the Lord in believer’s baptism due to the diligent work of follow up from leaders, like you, across the state. We celebrate with you! We applaud your timely effort! But, there is still more work we can do to finish the year strong! Here are four ways we can wrap up 2021 well:

Continue to pray for students to come to faith in Christ! Who are you praying for?

Share and Invite
Never stop advancing the Gospel and giving people a chance to respond! How and when will you share and invite?

Schedule and Celebrate!
Make baptism and spiritual decisions a big deal! Who is waiting to and needing to be baptized? How can you celebrate spiritual life and growth in your groups? Maybe you could aim to be a part of Student Baptism Day on October 31! Click the link below for more details.

It’s simple! Reporting accurate baptism totals (and other statistics) to the annual church profile (ACP) helps identify the correct narrative of the spiritual fruit we are seeing in our churches and across our state. Will you report?

We look forward to seeing the work God is doing in your churches and in your students! It is always exciting to see students come to faith and follow in baptism. It is great when we do the work the Lord has commanded us to do!

Much Love!
